Our Commitment to the Environment

As a society, we need to figure out how to preserve our resources and environment. Even with digitalisation, paper isn’t going away. Which means we face a unique challenge: how to meet the demand for paper while minimizing its ecological footprint. At Seeded Memories, we embrace this challenge, hand over trowel, which is why:

1. We only use using recycled papers in all our products, to help preserve resources and mitigate deforestation. Additionally, we design our products with end-of-life recycling in mind, ensuring that they can be easily planted back into the green circle of life.
   
   
2. As a small business, our home is our workshop. And our home is a testament to green living. It may take a bit more time and effort, but many of our tools and furniture are second-hand. And of course, we’re always looking for ways practise minimal waste living in our business and every-day life. If you have any tips you would like to share with us, we’re always all ears.
   
   
3. We're committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We have designed our booth to be ‘bike-transportable’. So, despite having a car, you can catch us biking to many of our markets and tradeshows or on our way to collect paper from local businesses in our community. In 2023 alone, we biked over 180 km!
   
   
4. As our business continues to grow, we are always looking for new ways we can engage our clients in joining us in our commitment to sustainability to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote responsible consumption practices among our customers.
   
   We carefully listen to feedback from our clients, which is why: 

• You can find easy-to-follow instructions on how to plant our products on the product itself and on our website.
• We created the Plant Your Own Card Kit as we know not everyone has a garden they can easily access.
• We started the Don’t Be Trash program to collect recycled paper from our clients at markets.
